Interior Design Confederation (Singapore) is a non-profit organisation and a registered society under Singapore law. First registered in 2003, IDCS evolved from the merger of two professional organisations – the Interior Designers Association and the Society of Interior Designers (Singapore), which had similar goals and objectives. The core members of IDCS are individual designers qualified to provide interior design and related services. Professionals within the confederation’s membership provide these services under a wide range of circumstances across all living, recreational and commercial sectors. The confederation spearheads industry initiatives to reinforce our goals, which are: To promote a clearer understanding of our profession To raise the profile of our members Increase the level of professionalism of our members, thereby elevating theCrespect and status of these professionals and the profession as a whole within the business community. Managing corporate and individual expectations with regards to the level of service our members provide under fair contractual conditions. The collection and sharing of information relevant to the conduct and execution of our profession in Singapore. The Confederation assists and advises organisations and persons working in related areas such as architecture, engineering, property development, building and construction. We are in close contact with government departments, institutions and neighbouring design associations. We are also members of SDA (Singapore Design Alliance), APSDA (Asia Pacific Space Designers Association) and IFI (International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers).
Singapore Furniture Industries Council was established in 1981 as the official representative body of Singapore’s furniture industry. It currently represents 95% of established furniture manufacturers in Singapore, of whom 65% have subsidiary manufacturing plants in the region including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. Its primary roles include promoting the interests of its members and the Singapore furniture industry. Many of its initiatives aim to facilitate members’ exposure to the world market, develop local talent and encourage entrepreneurship. Through SFIC Institute, its training and education arm, the SFIC offers development courses to ensure its graduates remain competitive and relevant to the latest industry developments. SFIC, the parent company of International Furniture Fair Singapore Pte Ltd, is the organiser of the annual International Furniture Fair Singapore/ASEAN Furniture Show, The Décor Show and Hospitality 360°. It also organises the annual SingaPlural and represents Singapore in the ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC). To ensure the industry’s growth and viability, SFIC continues to forge close partnerships with the government and trade-related agencies to harness technology, knowledge and information for effective strategic planning.
The Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA) is a non-profit organisation representing the Landscape Architectural professional in Singapore. It was established in 1985 to advance the science and art of Landscape Architecture and the theory and practice of landscape, environmental, and urban design; to promote research and education therein; and to create and maintain a high standard of professional qualification.
In our effort to encourage young designers to push the boundaries of their talent, Design Intervention established the Young Designer Award 2015. The award was launched in 2015, it is open to all students currently enrolled in a full time design related course in Singapore. We hope it will inspire them to continually aim higher and higher and give them an insight into what it is like to work in the industry.

The Singapore Sanitary Ware Importers and Exporters Association is a non-profit organization established in 1968. The main aim is to meet the challenges of the industry during that era when Singapore Government pushed for Urban Redevelopments and vast plan of building housing flats. The Association hence promotes the interest of the sanitary ware traders in Singapore. SSWIEA at present represents a wide cross-section of the Singapore business in trading, manufacturing, wholesales, retails, agencies and distributions of materials, products, accessories and etc, related to Water, Oil, Gas, Building, Environmental, Sanitary and Plumbing industries. Many leading companies in the industries are among our members.
