We have a great room with walls and trim alabaster. We want to paint the kitchen and dining room wall a greige color and we have a pine hutch on the dining room wall. What color would you choose?

This is an old post. You should start your own and share photos of your space, to get better help.

I think it's really beautiful.
You can hang a mirror centered above the sink and it would look just fine with the current window.
Some contrast with the wall color will let the two stone materials unite.
Something like this?:

I think it’s really stunning... I love it. You just need a couple of finishing touches. The “details”.
Along with gold/brass - black would provide contrast, work with your finishes, and also add drama; and let’s face it... your finishes are dramatic (in a good way). This is not the bathroom for the shy and retiring.
I agree that you can hang a mirror with your current window in place; really no need to remove it.
I added a black and brass soap dispenser, and a black and brass light. Lighting is going to make a difference in the look and feel of the space.
I had requested a black and brass Industrial style light for over the mirror, and I think such style/genre could be interesting in your space. I love the one AI chose - except, it is covering a bit too much of the mirror.

I like the idea of a linear fixture but couldn’t find any I liked. To add an element of texture perhaps something like these.

badger7, buying the shades separately is a good idea. Look for a cream linen or a woven shade with some texture, and check the shade's fitting size against the fixture's socket before you order.

Thank you for all your work on this, Design Interior South. Unfortunately my husband is never going to go along with changing electrical at this point. Your visuals are so helpful - funny, last night I was thinking about printed curtains in the dining room (I previously had plain ones). It sure changes the room! The direction on fixture size was helpful too. Previously I consulted with a local lighting store on this and the designer suggested a chandelier, so I'm just not sure. I guess I need to look at multiple head linear fixtures.
Viz - I'm glad to hear it's an option to buy different shades. It looks like there's a few places online that sell them, though they seem pricey.

As mentioned, if you plan to have a rug consider exploring that first so you can balance the paint colors being considered. Here are some colors you might take a look at. Beautiful fireplace!

Suggest bringing home lots of paint chips and tape to the wall. Get test pots of your favorites and paint large strips on the wall near the stone, your flooring sample and your chair. If confident in your choice (look at them during different times of the day and at night); it’s easier to paint before flooring is installed.
Also…go on line and look at what colors were used with similar components. If it were me, I’d be heading towards a light, soft neutral to offset the dark flooring.

My suggestion is you work with the tone of the floors when picking your paint color, so I will say B.M. Muslin. The undertone makes it a good pairing.

I like the lantern style in your first pic. I have bare bulb pedants over my island along with recessed lighting ( as it looks like you do too) and Imostly use everything on dimmers but the bare bulbs have never bothered me. FWIW

Here's a floor plan that seats eight, basically your thoughts above, with the addition of one more chair beside the sofa. (The circles that look like Ritz crackers are a scattering of ottomans or poufs to be moved where/when needed for footrests.)
And here's chatgpt's approximation of that, which moves everything a couple of feet closer to the TV and substitutes a large coffee table for the ottomans. (I could see a console table behind the sofa here as well.)
What do you plan to do with the other half of the room?
