yes, especially if it is a monochromatic outfit. Added bonus if they clearly read as different textures too
A long necklace for the top also helps when you have two diff colors, tho I am not sure why

@bbstx, I think they can definitely be worn together. As others have said, its the different textures.

Rolled out of bed and donned this high fashion ensemble to go to massage and PT. Looking at ceiling bc I haven’t mastered the art of the mirror selfie. Spanx air essentials pants, rando sweatshirt.

" How do you like it? "
I think it gives a bistro...open concept look. Here's another shot of the rental. The fireplace has a carrera marble/stone surround. A walk-in pantry with a glass etched "Pantry" door in the back. Each of my rentals has it's own personality. :0) I think it works for the clientele it will attract.

Oh...and....I paid $15 a fixture, NIB, before tax and shipping.
I like THIS one too @ $150ea...

Use some painters tape and rub n buff and add that gold band yourself.

On a PC, I just entered "Simple Ceiling Medallions". I do know that you get different hits with a PC over a phone. Many of the pictures on the first page were nice plus they gave you sites to shop from.
Here is a link for one I liked Medaillion
Since you have a flat ceiling, I would be tempted to just make the repair unless their is some reason why an electrician would tell you otherwise.

Both my older sisters and my mother had significant height loss and significant bone density loss by the time they were 65. I just got my bone density test results and I am doing really well - technically have osteopenia, but just over the benchmark (-1.0 is considered normal, -1.1 was my lowest reading, -2.5 is considered osteoporosis). I am also the same height as I was when I graduated from high school. FRAX risk assessment for hip fracture in the next 10 years was rated 0.6%.

I went to get new brake pads, and a young man did the work while I waited. He came and asked if he could take my car around the block to hear what I was hearing. Very polite. When my car was done, he put my paperwork on counter for the busy person. He came and sat next to me and explained exactly where the pads were worn, and other things. He seemed so into his work and happy. He asked me if I was a teacher at such and such high school. I was. He said he was not a student of mine, but remembered how nice I was to every student. He said I walked up to him in the hall and gave him a handful of candy when he was having a rough day.
It was a happy re-meet for both of us.

Seeing the monarch butterfly this morning reminded me again that when our day begins, we aren't aware of the unexpected treasures that are awaiting us. It's great that Roxsolid started this thread for us all to chime in!

For a few years I have been using this, because it has sun protection and some other benefits, including the fact that it doesn’t settle into fine lines and looks natural. I would still like to find something with a little more coverage at times, but everything I’ve tried seems to accentuate every little line.

I use Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. The other day I noticed that I have three tubes and none are the same shade. I don't know why and I can't seem to tell.
Maybe I need glasses more than Tinted Moisturizer?
I do notice that young women today go pretty heavy on the "foundation," really evening out skin tones. Not sure I want that look.

Here's another "dumb" one. :0)
JCP sells these fantastic fake mohair lined socks I wear around the house on cold days..."Heat Holder" socks. On sale for $15.30. I had a $15 off coupon.....but THIS is where it gets weird.
They cost $3.95 to ship to the store! 🫣

For me it's been pursuing my go to clothing sites.
But….I have added the Muse app. It tracks sizes and prices and lets meet know when the item is back on sale and back in my size!
Nicole, the chandelier is fabulous!
I also got a discount on a painting. I had toneaut an extra day and the discount went from 20% to 25% off.

While I agree about the looks and not being reality based, I can say that I am a voracious reader, but mostly use my kindle and my chromebook. I can sit in a dark room and read happily and easily. I do also have table lamps and floor lamp ( right next to cozy chair and ottoman)- and I will read with none of them turned on. DH on the other hand will only read, even on laptop, with a lamp light turned on.

In my living room I have recessed lights, a chandelier and a large table lamp. It is a good sized room and the furniture is floating away from the walls, so a bit more difficult to add lamps and floor lamps. For everyday lighting I just use the lamp. When guests are over I use all the lights dimmed at different levels. I do have some floor outlets and that is where the table lamp is plugged into.

The only recessed light I have in my living room is over the fireplace, aimed at a very lovely piece of art. Otherwise, I do not want ceiling lights. Table lamps, floor lamps are all that are allowed :>}
So many books to hold and turn pages; just not enough time.
This one is next. Hope it is as great as everyone is saying.
