Our clients were embarking on a kitchen extension and were keen to have a solid statement kitchen, with simple, clean design.
The main kitchen work area combines a run of base cabinets and a solid quality worktop, incorporating a storage area within the bespoke oak upstand. The periphery of the kitchen is where the tall storage and larder cupboards are located.
The dark painted cabinet doors, in Farrow and Ball "Downpipe" contrast beautifully with the flood of light coming from the kitchen extension roof lights and wide bi-folding doors. The flow of the worktop run from the door into the kitchen leads the eye all the way to the view of the garden at the far end of the room. There is also a flow around the central island and breakfast bar as the living area, complete with log burner, leads through the dining area to the breakfast bar.
