Originating from the Eastern United States, the homeowners were looking for a second residence and retreat. They set their sights on a challenging building site nestled in the Park City ski resorts area. Magleby Construction walked them through the entire preconstruction process, ensuring that the feng shui design elements that the Mrs. held as important were incorporated through the entire design. The orientation of the rooms and doors captured the Contemporary Mountain Craftsman design that the homeowners were also looking for in addition to keeping with the feng shui of the home. Masterpiece Millwork & Door were enlisted to design and build the Craftsman style doors and cabinetry. In this home you’ll find a mix of round posts and square timbers that help to soften the mountain elements of the home. The architect was able to capture phenomenal views offered by the location of the building site – views that seemed to invite the outdoors inside.
