Help, white or black?

My very 80's oak kitchen needs something, I think I want to paint cabinets and add backsplash. I have black granite on island and light Corian countertops elsewhere with a sink that is molded right into counters which is nice. We would light to replace 8 inch old tile floors with a floor that's got some give.

9 years agoI like the granite color too! Thanks I have already painted the island barn red which I love. But as I look right now there is a laminate strip on the inside, can I paint that?

9 years agoHi! Painting the cabinets white would bring in a clean fresh feeling. (You can paint the strip in side.) Make sure the white complements or matches the white of your Corian counter top. Freshen up the counter top with a cleaner and polish which is made for Corian. Adding legs to your island makes it like a furniture piece. New hardware adds a lot. I would change the floor to wood in a medium to dark color. Take a look at this attached picture. I hope this helps.
