Stanek vs Okna Casement Windows?
I am planning to replace large number of casement windows (Greater Philadelphia Area) with vinyl full frame replacement windows. Got bids from Stanek (double pane, 1 1/8", low E, Argon, Great Day Improvements) and Universal Windows (double pane, 7/8", low E, Argon, Alside). After reading reviews, I decided to check on Okna before making a decision. How's the quality of Stanek compared to Okna casement windows?

9 years agoI don't know anything about the specific brands you mentioned, but wood windows are superior to vinyl, especially for casement windows. Is there a problem with your windows? If so, they can be repaired. You can't repair vinyl and vinyl is only meant to last a few years. Sorry for not answering your question, but the vinyl window industry does a good job of convincing people that vinyl is the best when it is actually the worst.
