basement for shipping container home

can you put a poured basement underneath shipping containers? Would love a container home but think I would need a basement for storage ect

    what do you need for supports? was thinking about 4 - 40 ft containers

    It would be built similar to any basement. The containers will span the 40', but only if they are intact. Removing large sections of the walls will change that.

    Structural integrity issues of the container aside, your next biggest challenge will be the detail of the weather seal between the container and the basement walls to prevent water & moisture from entering the basement at the perimeter. Water penetration is a tricky thing, best contract a pro building designer.
