    sorry I don't know the plant type, please refer to Janine at Cultivart who designed the garden and chose the plants. She is under Landscape Designer heading in houzz listing

    To me it looks like espalier shrubs. ????camellias. You can espalier fruit trees including citrus but the deciduous ones give more changing seasons. I espaliered a dwarf orange in our last garden, it was a long term project but you do not get the problems of vines getting out of control
