    Hi Henry,
    all of our fire rings are made of 12 gauge raw steel, they are not painted. (About 1/8" thick). The bottom is open.

      Is it made in the United states and are they ready to be shipped and how long to ship when ordered

      They are made in Wisconsin, and usually ship in 1-2 business days, normal delivery is UPS 2-3 days depending on your location.

      Two questions. First, will the metal patina over time? And second, can an order be modified for a gas installation (hole for key)?

      Are your fire rings still made of 12 gauge raw steel (about 1/8" thick), including the 60" ring?

      Very Mis Leading...Say's Solid but you can see it is bolted together in 3 or 4 sections.
