Open Loft dilemma and advice please!

Hi everyone,

I have an open loft area approx 11x12
ft. with 9 ft ceilings. At the moment the room is empty except for
a temporary desk to make the room half decent! Our home has 3 bedrooms and does not have a guest room. I would love ANY advice on
how I can give this room a little more privacy IF someone would be
using the IKEA HEMNES daybed that I plan on placing below the window?
The 2 half wall columns help a bit but the room is still quite open.
I thought about some trendy privacy screens but wasn't sure the size
or how and where to place them. I can place one directly in the middle opening but you still have the 2 open sides above the half wall. Again, it would only be something I
can do IF someone was to use the room...otherwise it will always
remain open.

I like your idea of screens.

When there are no overnight guests, the screens can be folded and put away.

you need strong focus- point. It should directed on your window with a nice faux finish and simple window treatment. In addition, it looks you do not have good lighting source to make this space inviting.

Floor to ceiling curtains would be an option. Just plain, (off) white curtains.

my first thought is curtains as well. you'd want 2 layers, one facing the loft, one facing the hall. one could have black out panel.

    a ceiling track perhaps?
