Love this - is that real timber or mod-wood or something else?

This looks awesome and so natural. We're also in a bushfire zone and looking at deck materials.. What type of "timber" is that?

    Hi! This construction was located within a mid range BAL zone so we could still use certain hardwood timbers. In this case with used a 90mm Blackbutt decking board over a powder coated steel frame & matched this into the top rail with a dressed length of Blackbutt timber, so that way it all matched, looked uniform & softened the aluminium handrail.
