Possibly the two thinner planks in the middle are of a different age to the two either side of them. ????

I'm guessing anything within 100 - 150, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was out by far... when do we get the answer?

I can't tell - if someone did some hard core beating the wood up in the last week then it could be made to look old. But who would do that to some very lovely and, not to mention, expensive oak. I assume it's flooring from interior design trends and availability, of course, the wider the board the older it is. Is it tongue and groove flooring? I can't see nails so it could be as early as Georgian. I'm sure someone very knowledgeable about wood would know but I'm sure they'd take other things into account too.

It isn't a beam... Trick question. A beam would be made of one continuous section of timber, unless it is glulam... Looks more like timber flooring...

As for age, I would say new. No nails holding it down
So perhaps secret nailed or bonded, most likely engineered with a T and G edge profile as the joints are very tight, almost machine cut straightness with no deflection, machine smoothness with some additional added distressed areas .... But I could be wrong...

Looks like oak flooring by Generations flooring

They haven't shrunk apart, in fact they fit very closely so I would suspect it is recent and has been aged, perhaps to match/replace other floors/woodwork in a really old house. Maybe these are even a mixture. However it's been beautifully done. New oak would look odd in an old house. If it was simply old, would you have thought to ask the question?

The outside is genuine possibly 300 yrs old the centre piece has fake saw marks and is very recent possibly within the last year but colour is good.

1826 - outside boards, inside board new.

Hmmm, I think the left side looks new and the right side maybe around 200 years?

This beautiful wood belongs to one of our favourite lines. These genuine antique boards are at times up to 300 years old. Sourced from barns, country homes and manors in France. This wood was sanded and oiled (Air Dried Hard Wax Oil).

The use of secret nails made this a difficult guess. However, many of you were really close.

We hope you enjoyed playing with us. =)
