Induction cooktop

If a drawer is installed directly under an induction cooktop, will contents in the drawer get hot? For example, would spices get too hot in that drawer? Or utensils?

Great question! Induction cooking works by using an electromagnetic field to heat the cookware. Just the cookware becomes hot, not the burner or the cooktop or the surrounding areas. Contents in a drawer installed under the cooktop will be completely fine. Thanks for your interest.
