What type of material did you use for the deck skirting?

    We are getting our new deck finished up right now. I went with a vertical skirting like this and our contractor used cedar.

    The deck skirting in this photo is 1x6 Ipe hardwood with a penetrating oil finish. There is also a gate built into the skirt for under deck storage.

    Would you be able to tell me the spacing in between the horizontal skirting slats?
