Dulux have already announced their trends forecast for next year, Denim Drift. And shortly, Pantone, will release their anticipated colour prediction for 2017.

But Houzzers, you are design enthusiasts and I'm pretty sure, trendsetters in your own ways, so if it were up to you, what do you think will be the colour on everyone's lips next year? Below, are just a few suggestions, but feel free to comment with other options, too.

I'd say Forest Green - it's everywhere at the moment and also my favourite colour!

We think greens are great because they help bring the outside, inside especially in kitchen/diner spaces

Blues don't sit too well in our grey skied country. More of a summer colour. Greens are all year round.

blush pink is also going to be a hit I reckon. Copper looks amazing with it and that's the next big thing for acessories

We are getting a lot of blue shades already for next year, two mention - F&B Stiffkey and Sky Light

I have never been aware of following a trend, although I have noticed how difficult it is sometimes to get an article I (or my mother) wanted, in the colour I wanted or combination of colours I wanted. I know I never went in for a beige or cream carpet, over the years I have had gold, pale green, pale aqua blue, not forgetting burgundy and grey before it became universal, I am unsure why I have gone for these colours at different times, but I do know I haven't tried to follow any trends, I have just followed my nose and enjoyed myself.

A lot of our clients are asking for varying shades of blue and we see this as the colour for 2017. Green is emerging too but perhaps that's for 2018...

Colours are such a joy to work with - it's the combinations that make them really feel at home.

I too would say I never 'follow' trends but I certainly must imbue them, subliminally, through my pores! Being an interior design glutton I do read a great deal & follow design sites. I am always astounded to think that 'trends' follow me as I am often there before they are announced. However, despite protesting too much, I think I must be 'influenced' by them, hence my current home is painted in greens, yellows & blues (sounds horrid, doesn't it ?) but it all flows beautifully.
