lime wash on tas oak flooring

Hi there
I am about to sand back some 1960 tas oak floor boards and ma looking for a white washed look rather than the gold that is the natural colour of the Tas oak. What are the solutions for me?

    Hi Moreeta,

    You can try white wash on a small section but it is not an easy job. Basically, sand the floor, and then apply lime wash and then wipe off the excess evenly. once the lime wash is fully dry, apply sealer to protect the limed floor. the tas oak have a bit of pinky tone. therefore, when you llme wash the tas oak with white, you may see a little bit of pinky tone coming through. therefore you would better decide the color before apply the entire floor.

    The best way is to hire fully experienced professional who knows what he is doing.
