Filled In Sunken Living Room Scottsdale 85254

What a gorgeous makeover. This 1976 room originally had one of those "Ankle-breaker Orthopedics' Delight" sunken living rooms. We filled this in and now the entire house is on one level, and the space ties together so nicely. No more worries about guests unexpectedly taking a wrong step and tumbling down.

I would love to do this to our trip hazard living room. Was it expensive?

I thought about doing this for my sunken living room but the cost was a significant factor.

What an improvement! Neighbors of mine recently did the same, those sunken rooms are stupid & hazardous.

Love it. How long did you have to wait to put flooring on top of concrete fill?

It's great! Why were those sunken rooms ever a 'thing'? I know they were very popular in the 70's in upscale homes.
