A Beautiful Extension Transformation in South West London

London Dream Building recently completed an extension project in Surbiton. The family living in the home needed to maximise their space as they were expecting a new baby!

The small extended space beforehand was an eyesore, added on to the end of a beautiful tractional property:

We worked with the family, their timescale and style to totally transform their space:

We started from scratch and ripped down the existing building, modernizing and increasing it's size whilst making sure to keep it's aesthetic in line with the traditional property it is attached to.

Inside the kitchen we built in fantastic skylights to create a light and airy feel to the space and compliment the industrial vs traditional feel of exposed brick and wooden flooring throughout.

We hope that you like it!

This is a great space now - I particularly like the way that it fits so well with it's traditional backdrop but doesn't try to emulate it entirely as it is so contemporary inside.

Wow! What a difference to the exterior. I also love the exposed brick contrast against the white kitchen.

Thank you for your comments. Traditional reclaimed yellow bricks were used for the external brickwork. Inside we have used brick slips to achieve industrial style on the kitchen and opposite walls.

How lovely. I love the idea of walking straight out into the garden without steps. Gorgeous.

    Thank you for your comment.

We had to raise the patio with 600mm in order to be flash with the floor level inside of the house. The bottom floor integrated sliding door rail track gives a perfect finish and it is less than an inch high from inside and outside floor level. You can see on the pictures above that the sliding door is floor to ceiling, which allow maximum amount of light going in.
