Can I use my old garage door to make a chicken coop or a shed?

I have a tongue and groove garage door that is 16' wide and 87" high, 4 1/2 inches thick including tongue and groove 1" surface. The garage door installers will take all the old metal off and I could use this for something, couldn't I?

I am not a builder or fabricator, but it sounds interesting!! I would talk to someone local that might do that type of work for a quote and then decide whether it is something you could DIY or whether it would be best to farm it out. Also, take any city building codes into consideration.

I did finally use my old garage door to build a goat chateau!
