Pergola over swimming pool?

HI Experts. what are your thoughts on a pergola over a swimming pool. Hot or Not?

    No expert but falling leaves flowers etc? However pergolas can look great “naked” too. :)

    Agree with Emily............when I picture a pergola it's usually ( not always ) made of wood and covered in plants. I'd call the pic above a room / building, as it looks like it also has glass windows.

    Hi, if the pergola is to add shade to the pool area I would consider a versatile solution such as a motorised awning that allows to control the amount of shade throughout the day. I would also add a strip light so that the pool area can be used at night.
