the client obtained the tile. It was not a "big box" item. Not sure what supplier she used.

I think if you select a wall color that is too well coordinated to the tile, it will only bring out the vibrant pattern in the tile. So pick colors you like. Let your personal style and the vibe of the rooms dictate the colors. Your walls, furnishings and accessories will take center stage so you won't really notice the tile. Area rugs will down play the tile too. Ceilings are a great opportunity to add color also.

Marble are non-porous thus it would cause etching and corrosion. Besides that, marble are high maintenance materials. Marble requires proper care and maintenance. Acid should never be used on marble as it shall loose its shine. Marble should be regularly polished over a period of time to give it a new look. If proper precautions are not taken the marble becomes yellowish in colour. Italian marble is usually very soft and prone to cracks. Proper resins have to be used to make the surface strong and solid and avoid further cracks. Proper sealants should be used in marble flooring as the marble is highly porous and prone to staining. It absorbs stains very quickly especially kitchen stains hence are not appropriate for kitchen counter tops. Quartz would be a better choice as quartz are non porous. Amazing photos! I think it all depends on your style. I like a very simple and minimal spaces with hints of texture or strong graphics. I would love an all white bathroom with moroccan inspired grey tiles or maybe even graphic tiles. I don't think it's a risk at all!

I think these floor tiles will work with the woody theme you're going for and the furniture you have! Their natural stone design and cashmere colour would complement wooden furniture. I'm not so sure about the grey wall though. It looks drab and paint job patchy. Could add a pop of colour/wallpaper and make it an accent wall if it fits in your design plan.
