How was street design name done?

I can see that the field tile is white subway tile. What kind of tile was used to create the address name? Did you have to lay out your own design?

    I bought mosaic pieces and did it myself. I attached the pieces to a mesh sheet and them put it up on the wall!

    Where did you buy the mosaic tiles? I can only seem to fine them by the case, rather than by the sheet. Thanks.

    I bought them on etsy by the bag. I laid them on the sheets myself!
