This seems like a great solution for people who want something that looks/feels a bit traditional. I'm wondering if the white exterior siding is actually commercial metal – if this project basically utilized metal building construction – and if so, whether that helped with the cost or was used for environmental or simply aesthetic reasons?

    The home was actually conventional wood framing but there was some steel used at the porch posts and balcony trellis. also that is a pressed tin ceiling at the porch.
