how to plug in lamps in center of room...is there something the cord

No plug in center of room where the furniture is going...how to plug in lamps without running a cord across the floor? Is there something that will hold a cord flat so it isn't a tripping hazzard? advice please.

    No, nothing you can do but get a battery operated lamp.

    Rugs can be an alternate for hiding cords and avoiding tripping hazards.

    Depending upon the size/shape/setup of your room, you might be able to set an end table between your sofa and one wall and hide the cord beneath the end table and then to the sofa to the second end table -- or to a sofa table behind the sofa.

    Suezbell has the correct answer other than having an electrician add floor outlets. Please do not run cords, especially extension cords, under rugs. It's a known fire hazard and against all rules and regulations.
