TV above THIS fireplace or beside IT

Hey y'all, I know many dislike TVs above fireplaces, but I am really debating it. Which do you think would be better for this living room layout with a fireplace in the middle?

    I was opposed to putting a tv above a fireplace until I was forced to do it in my own home. It worked out just fine and there was no neck strain from watching tv.

    I think above would be okay in this case. The mantle looks low enough that you won't be craning your neck.

    We have our TV above our fireplace and it works out great. If you have the space for it - go for it

    A TV will totally ruin the beauty of this mantel. Why bother with a nice mantel if you are placing a television above it?
