Can the silverware holder be situated differently?

Could the silverware holder be hung off the OUTSIDE of the rack under where the wine glass holder is (if I'm not planning to use the wine glass holder)? I wan to save space inside the rack, and it looks like there would still be a drip tray under it if it hung there.

    Hello Rebecca! The utensil holder on our steel frame unit can only be seated on the inside of the unit.
