What is the pergola roof made of? Is that glass of some kind?

How well does that work in the snowy months? I live in Colorado so that is always a concern.

    It's a frosted glass to let light in while keeping weather and some heat out.

    The frosted glass is an incredible idea for keeping rain, etc out. We live in San Diego and just built a pergola that we love but want to create some kind of shade without making it dark. Does the frosted glass do that and where can I find something like that.
