What is the name/type of rock used here?

We love the stone used on the retaining walls. Question is whether or not that stone is available in Texas (DFW)?

We did this job in 2007! The stone used is a slate stone veneer color is Rustic Brown and the caps and patio are Pennsylvania Blue Stone. www.eastweststone.com/natural-ledge-panels.html,

Marble are non-porous thus it would cause etching and corrosion. Besides that, marble are high maintenance materials. Marble requires proper care and maintenance. Acid should never be used on marble as it shall loose its shine. Marble should be regularly polished over a period of time to give it a new look. If proper precautions are not taken the marble becomes yellowish in colour. Italian marble is usually very soft and prone to cracks. Proper resins have to be used to make the surface strong and solid and avoid further cracks. Proper sealants should be used in marble flooring as the marble is highly porous and prone to staining. It absorbs stains very quickly especially kitchen stains hence are not appropriate for kitchen counter tops. Quartz would be a better choice as quartz are non porous. What is the space behind your shower currently? Is it closet or exterior? Is it possible to absorb that space into your shower for a bench or just to simply enlarge it? For your doors. Your shower door will need to swing out, or you can do a shower with only an opening and no door. Have you considered a "Neo-angle" shape instead of a rectangle for the shower to help the traffic flow too? The door closest to I should be the pocket/sliding door. Wood dye is different than stain - I never worked with it but I think it soaks into the grain a lot more than stain which sits more on top. Make sure you try it out first on a scrap piece of oak (or the underside of your table).
