Love the shiplap fireplace!

What material is used for the planks? Where we live it's not code to use regular wood shiplap planks within 12 inches of the firebox, so we were looking for another material that has that look but isn't wood or tile. Thanks!

    We have the save code as you mentioned. Notice the perimeter of the fireplace has a surround of approximately 12” or more. That surround is steel and then it transitions to MDF surround to meet code.
