Shutters from Lowe’s or Home Depot?

Hi all, I recently bought a new construction and was looking into getting shutters installed. Just wanted to get any thoughts/experience with Lowe’s or Home Depot shutter installation service. Thanks in advance!

I think there is commentary enough out there on the install services. Can't imagine that shutters would be different than the prevailing opinions.

Neither. Please reach out to a local window treatment specialist. The quality of what you will receive is far superior if you avoid Lowe's and Home Depot. Many times recently we also noticed it actually won't even cost you more money.

Using a local specialist will get you a better service and will be far more available if you ever need service on the products.

A professional should also be able to provide you with the best shutter to match your request and be able to explain your different options as far as the frame, louver size, color, etc go. Unlike the big box stores that will only "take your order" whether it's the right or wrong design choice for your windows.

Give it a try. An in-home consultation is generally free. I think it will leave you a lot happier. Good luck!
