I have used Lumicor or 3Form resin panels for this application many times. The resin panels are translucent, letting light in but are still private. They are two panels with flat materials between them; like grass, rice paper, fabrics, metals, strings, bamboo, wood veneers, it is endless. Check both companies websites for different options of panels. Here are some examples. Another idea could be textured glass, like rain or water glass.

Lots of storage built along one wall to get rid of clutter th e green wall would probably be best then a desk and more storage under window. Paint the room a soft gray with white cabinets some nice beddig and a great piece of art above the bed.

Hi Janet, ok I originally sketched on my tab (red) as 1 BR then modified on my phone (blue) for 2Br. hope you’ll get the idea. Master’s with walk-in closet, connected bath with added door (for sharing). kept store at end, open kitchen, Living rm ok to fit a sofa with tv/media cabinet. For dining, I’m seeing to combine your work and dining table. get another similar table to combine with your 1.7 table. (or if budget allows get a long table 1 piece.) dining side you put benches and work side get a high chair. this setting becomes the main feature of your house( my idea only not a rule) the bookshelves be on 1 side and can be longer as needed. hope this brings you more ideas for your new home. cheers! arielc

Hi there, my suggestion is to create an opening between the kitchen and the living area. As a breakfast counter / casual sitting corner while the person is doing prep work. The hob can be placed behind the column (which can't be hacked). Even though it's small, it's still possible to have a fully equipped kitchen (ie oven, microwave and fridge) along with some storage space. Everything is in a whole row so that it will look seamless. I've attached a rough plan and some of our works for your understanding. Hope it helps.

Walk into the house? I would put a storage piece with art above. Kind of hard to say, without a floor plan to see what areas are adjacent.

Add a tall Mirror and a lamp. Depending on the whole area, I might spin the credenza to the taller wall and do the same.

i would rotate the console to the right and hang a pretty mirror above it, along with adding a nice small lamp since there's an outlet on that wall, and perhaps a decorative bowl. Remove all the other stuff so it's not so busy. On the back wall, a nice space for art to fill that wall, something you love.

A chair by the corner where you have a tall roll of not sure what. Turn the credenza by the tall wall and hang a mirror on top with lamps flanking on both side. I am assuming that this is your foyer.

If that's your furniture and you are not in the mood to replace it right now then I would get a nice sized lemon or other fun tree (maybe even tall bamboo) to put on the right side of the console, and put a round mirror on the left side. Get a pleasant low key rug to fit the space (sisal?) and add a nice stool (garden ceramic, or low back upholstered) and add an umbrella holder -----......

The question in my mind is how much of a splash you want to make as the entrance to your home, or whether you need some real storage here. If it's the latter, think about adding hooks for hats and scarves and a coat rack and a bench, a mirror -- all the usual useful things.

But if it's the former, might want a real statement piece of furniture

adding plants, a rug, perhaps pendant light or a sconce, a pop modern stool or chair

Or you have an almost atrium-like feel to this corner of your house, so something in the spirit of the left side of this photo might be very nice if it fits in with the rest of the decor of your house
