Defensible space??

Super cool house and great interior design. But- it's an example of what NOT to do on the exterior. If this is the same Portola Valley I know in N. Cal, this is a highly fire prone area. Vegetation is completely surrounding the house and in direct contact, and on a slope to make matters worse. Please people- help first responders by doing your part when living in these areas. Tons of info online about living in a fire environment.

    Hi Romeo, This was a remodel project. It was originally completely clad in wood. We remodeled it and replaced the wood with stucco. Therefore, I assume it is safer after our work than before. - Mark
