Hi how was the fireplace surround created?

    As far as my part goes, we chose a marble slab, made a drawing to scale and figured out the layout on the slab so that all the veining flowed together. As far as actual fabrication and installation goes I can't really give you many details. I know each layer is mitered at the corners.
