Can this ladder lift up and fold against the wall?

I have a small space and would rather not have a ladder sticking out unless I'm using it!

How many hours work do you think is involved in creating this novel ladder?

We had 2+ days labor in creating it. Glad you like it!

Can you tell me what you used to brace the ladder to the top of the wall?

It's a custom steel bracket lagged to the beam.

Ok, looks like I'm going to have to make my own ladder like this. It is perfect for what I need. Can I ask you guys how you made the slots in the side rails so uniform and perfect?

I think the best way to do the slots is a hardboard template and a router with a large top bearing cut-out bit. Then follow up with a bottom bearing roundover bit to ease the edges. Good luck on the project!

Are the sides of that ladder made out of 2x6 oak?
