Hello,
I would like to add a loveseat to my home office and found one that I really love, but before I order it I'd like some advice. Will this love seat look ok in my space? The color is dark gray. Will the color go with my "warmer" color scheme? I'm thinking of putting the love seat on the wall across from the desk and window (under the large picture). Will this work? Any advice on the loveseat and layout of my office space would be greatly appreciated.

i'd suggest to put your desk where you want to put the sofa, as this makes the room more cosy somehow. then put your loveseat where the desk is, facing into the room.. for you colour sceme, i'd go for a more cream/beige seat to link in with the paintin etc. (maybe red if you felt brave!) :-)

I think it would look fine as your wood is very neutral, and the red in your rug would go nicely with the gray.

Hi. It's looking really good and you've done well with the bookshelves! ! I love the new sofa! I would say just a tad more yellow if your husband can bear it, doesn't have to be solid yellow. I'd add something else on the left shelves (I'd move one shelf of photos to the right hand shelving and swap for some books), maybe a ginger jar if you can get an old one. Maybe a patterned throw or cushion for your wooden chair and a small yellow throw for the bench just draped over the corner. Table idea sounds great. Are you happy with it? I think it's made such a big difference

I say go for the loveseat! Once it's in the room, a warm colored throw or accent pillow could tie all of the colors together nicely.

Loveseat should go nicely with the room, but I'm not sure about the tan rug. My real question is if you like your desk position. You cannot look out the window and you probably get a lot of glare on the computer screen. Think about moving the desk to the right corner (first image), which would allow you to look out the window to your right, would make the room bigger, and would allow anyone sitting on the loveseat to look out, as well.

In my home office I have windows and the entry to the room on the same walls as your office.. I have my desk on the opposite wall from the entry (this allows me to control glare on my laptop), and my book shelve on the left wall in the corner of the wall where my desk is. My filing cabinet is on the back right corner next to the window wall. This gives me the best use and management of natural day lighting, and opens up the rest of the room for other functions. You could put your loveseat either on the left or the right wall in forward of the desk, and still have room for more chairs or other furniture /decor.

I think the loveseat may look quite large in the space with the petite desk. How about a backless chaise? I agree to try out moving the desk with your back to the bookcase. Two bookcases together would also be nice behind the desk for width and more balance. Then, you can float the chaise across from the desk at an angle with the window/corner. Just ideas.

I do agree the loveseat may look "out of scale" with the desk. you may want to consider a more Scandavavian or even Retro look with a smaller scale loveseat

Oh, I like how it looks under the picture! I went ahead and ordered the loveseat. When I get it, I'm sure I'll move it around to see where it looks best. I may also get a new rug to help tie in the colors better. Hopefully it won't feel too large in the room. Thank you for all the tips and ideas!

I love the loveseat. I think you will want to replace the rug for something with gray in it, though.
