Marrakech

Tiles in the Marrakech collection use traditional Mediterranean and arabesque designs to create a range that is evocative of Moroccan architecture and yet truly timeless. This is a truly stunning range of tiles that will add real atmosphere wherever they are used. Each tile is handmade, hand painted and then hand-antiqued to give an aged appearance.

Cement tiles: A pressed, not fired, tile. Handmade cement tiles, such as the ones in this kitchen, have hit the trend headlines because of their natural look that mellows with age. With a diverse range of classic and modern colours and patterns on offer, they are popular for indoor and outdoor floors.Ceramic: Ceramic tiles are classified as non-porcelain and porcelain. Non-porcelain, usually with a decorative glaze, is softer and less durable than porcelain, which has a slightly different composition and has been fired at higher temperatures. For the tile shopper, ‘ceramic’ usually refers to non-porcelain ceramic. It’s suited to walls and floors and lighter wear than porcelain.
Siow Yuen Wong added this to What's the Difference Between Epoxy and Cement Grout?
Brown, tan and mocha-coloured grout are hard to get right with regular grout. Many people are drawn to epoxy grout for its even colour. The colour of epoxy grout comes from the filler and is constant throughout. Regular grout can have its pigment removed during the cleaning phase. You can make epoxy grouts sparkle by adding iridescent particles to your mix. Ask your contractor to prepare a sample board in advance to see how much sparkle you really want. The options are endless — you can even fine-tune colours by purchasing different fillers and blending them.Tip: Medium grey is the safest colour choice for regular grout, because many installations grey out over time as soap and water take their toll.
