I ended up installing Carrera marble everywhere in my house even though as my comment above stated, was advised not to. Just as everyone said it etched and it stained a little. We are selling so we had a quote to reseal and repair them which was in the thousands but instead we ordered a polishing kit off Amazon (approx. $300). My husband repolished and resealed them in a day (we have a 17ft island) and they basically look brand new again. It was a little bit of work and a big mess but they're still totally worth it and look just as good now as they did the day we installed them. If you love marble just go with it. Life's too short and the etching isn't that bad. Another tip to brighten tired marble that really works is to make a baking soda paste and let it sit over top of stains. You'd be amazed at how bright they come out using that little trick.
