Ideally, location is convenient to formal areas (ie: kitchen, grand hall, formal entry). The keys are removed but accessible. Often a small Ante room or transition off formal spaces, this could be a 5'x5' transition space, keep it efficient! Also, you never want to be able to look in and see the toilet or workings, but rather a decorative vanity well kept. And finally, we have been installing an appropriately sized ultra quite motion activated exhaust fan (no light) guaranteeing sound and odor control!
