Butcher Blocks
Consider getting a custom block like this with open shelves below for 3' of counter space in kitchen alcove vs ready made.
So far this is as close to perfect as I can get.
Could have the 'block' inset next to sink, the open bottom would open up the lower view of floor to back door.
If this a was free standing butcher block, I'd put it to the left of the kitchen sink.
