A curved, continuous window could be fun in the master.
Some wall separation in between master and adjoining sitting room

Ceiling height feels open and spacious but still cozy.
Rug on hardwoods may be the direction we head.
Ceilings are too high, but I like how the TV is hidden by doors over a fireplace.

I like how the bed is framed by the doors leading into the closets and/or bathroom. That way, what's visible from the bed is all the soothing stuff.

I like some things about this but prefer the windows at eye level.

Feeling of space (though I'd want the set-up so the chair faced the other way).
Fan, recessed area just large enough for seating by the windows, some built-ins, etc.

Light fixtures on the wall helps avoid the "expanse of nothing" feeling behind the headboard.
Recessed seating to windows/doors, lots of white and light. Just enough extra room to feel like a suite without going overboard. TV built in, might try to hide it somehow too.
Open interior hallway to master bath and closet...this is what I envision.

Love the ceiling, though a little lower would be better. Like that the nook is off the left side of the bed.
Is this considered tongue and groove? I like it for the upper level.
Ceiling in the master is important to me. Vaults without being soaring, some asymmetry, and lower into the nook area.
I aspire to some asymmetry in the master suite.
