And when she found the ultimate location within the neighborhood, right on a lovely park, she didn’t much care what kind of shape the house was in. Before: Not caring what kind of shape the house was in was certainly crucial. “This was basically a teardown. It had not been touched in years and was in really rough shape,” says interior designer Shirley Meisels. Solution: Rather than tearing it down, the two women collaborated on a renovation. “She was one of my first clients, and we’ve been working together for many years,” Meisels says. “There is a lot of trust and comfort there, and I know her vibe. And she pushes me and I push her.”Style: The style is clean-lined and modern with funky, quirky touches throughout.
