Love the door in the corner, is it just a cabinet? Or does it lead to another room or a deep pantry?? It looks like just a cab, but I have seen a corner door like this that leads to a huge deep pantry. Very clever.

The question is: stand alone butcher block or build it in? I'm tempted to do stand alone because then I can take it with me when/if we move again.

So I like the idea of the hutch having usable counter space, like what is shown here. I would probably have glass doors on top as well. This island has storage under the seating area as well which I like.
