A Granary Renovation

Having worked with us in the past, the owner of this property relished using our products again on a renovation project for himself and his family. As a builder, he was keen to restore the property as sympathetically as possible so that it would stay in keeping with its interesting history. Architectural Bronze Casements were therefore perfect for such a project, lending an air of authenticity to a modern restoration. Maintaining the glazing breaks with true glazing bars was a conscientious design move that fulfilled the industrial brief for a structure with a long working past. Altogether 30 bespoke Bronze Casements were installed using the Heritage system, which is ideal for a historical building where fine sightlines and aesthetics are an important consideration. Each window is a bespoke size to fit into the unique apertures of this quirky building, the front door being a great example with its hinged side screen alongside allowing for optional additional access. This in turn makes the most of a wide opening without having one impractically large door. A central floor-to-ceiling window on the first floor allows for optimum light flow from a south facing aspect. This is most certainly a successful use of Bronze Casements within an industrial setting.
