Amish Hand-scraped Hardwood
This is Amish hand-scrape hardwood flooring. The talented Houzz user will notice that there are boards of multiple widths in this space.
We have a nice 3"-5"-7" board arrangement here that dates back to the inception of using wood flooring. When a log was being used to create hardwood floors, it was essential to use the entirety of the log. This meant getting the wider boards from the center and getting the thinner boards from the edges.
This layout pattern is actually great for further breaking up the pattern of hardwood boards. However, some customers may feel that this is too busy for their homes but in a large area it is gorgeous. If you are looking for a multi-width hardwood floor that is less busy, come on into our showroom and have a look at our multi-width maple boards. They are super clean compared to oak and walnut.
