BESPOKE FITTED CONTEMPORARY BEDROOM FURNITURE
This bespoke fitted contemporary bedroom furniture and wall panelling was created by Claude Clémaron for a residence in Belgravia, London. The wardrobes and connecting sets of drawers have been handcrafted in a minimalist contemporary classic style which harmonises perfectly with the traditional interior architecture of our client’s stunning period home.
This made to measure fitted cabinetry, spray painted in a pale grey satin matt finish, incorporates a range of customised features. These include integrated sensor lighting in all the cabinets, so the interiors are only lit when they need to be. A mix of handle-less such as soft close, push-release doors and drawers and a top to bottom inset finger pull handle. Roomy drawers under the cantilevered wardrobe are ideal for storing large items of bed linen such as sheets, blankets, and throws, while shallow drawers are designed for jewellery and other small accessories.
Handcrafted wood panelling
Bespoke wood wall panelling in the room is a crown-cut ash veneer. Timber veneer is a premium decorative product that adds high end style to a room, and different cuts produce quite distinctive looks. The crown-cut veneer shown here has a beautiful grain pattern interspersed with cathedral patterns, known as crowns.
Ash wood with glazed panel
Ash wood has an expressive, yet gentle character and is mainly used for fine furniture and high-quality interiors, covering walls and ceilings. In this bedroom we have incorporated a glazed panel into the ash wood panelling which creates a slim window into the bathroom. This clever feature enhances the light and feeling of spaciousness in the two rooms.
