Brown and Navy kitchen

The Clients desired a subtle nod to the ocean and life at the beach. They desired an open kitchen that allowed for entertaining in the spacious adjacent great room and a huge island. So, the transformation went like this... A wall between dining and kitchen came out, the opening to lower level stairwell was dry-walled to allow for the addition of kitchen cabinets. All kitchen floors were replaced with tile. The soffits were removed from the kitchen ceiling allowing for a consistent ceiling height and more kitchen upper cabinetry. The old walk in pantry was converted to a usable home salon hair studio, leaving an area in the kitchen for dining table, built in desk and wall shelves.
