Classic Home Meets the Modern Age

When this home was built in 1928, the master closet consisted of two shallow depth spaces that accommodated one row of shoe storage with a clothes rod above. Between two closets there was a large unused dressing area that called out for better use. We removed the existing closets and repurposed the space into a spacious master closet. An arched cased opening was removed and the wall framed to accommodate a new set of pocket doors. Complete with inset beveled glass mirrors, as shown in the photograph, they tastefully separate the closet from the bedroom. Within the closet an abundance of new shelving and hanging space was created. Wardrobe cabinets, shoe shelving and adjustable shelving were installed to provide the storage expected by the owner. Hanging space was increased by ten fold, while multiple drawers serve as the location for undergarment storage.
