Comfortable Elegance
Tom Gilbert, photographer. The Grand Staircase was designed to create a classic elegance hinting of 1940's movie romance as you enter the home. It was preferred over an "open" or winding staircase to help shield noise between the floors, but had to provide an impressive impact upon entering the home. It took six months to build.
