Covered back patio
As the original 'basement' is partially above ground, the owners opted to have an open patio at the basement level, under the family room and kitchen addition. The adjacent basement is soon to be remodeled to include a wine cellar, for easy libation access. Because this patio is partially below ground, it maintains a cool temperature on even the warmest of days.
